Your Guide to Amazon’s AI-Generated Product Enrichment Updates

Amazon is trialling AI-generated product enrichment with a pilot scheme designed to enhance listings automatically. For those brands chosen as part of the pilot, the catch is that, if you don’t respond in time, these AI-generated updates will go live by default. If this is you, here’s what you need to know to take control of your product listings and get the most from this pilot…

What’s Happening?

For brands picked to participate, Amazon’s AI-generated product enrichment programme will suggest updates to your listings – ranging from improved descriptions to richer attributes – all based on AI analysis.

Then:

  • You’ll receive an email with proposed updates.
  • You can agree or disagree with the changes before the feedback deadline.
  • If you don’t respond, Amazon will publish the AI-generated updates automatically.
  • You can request changes after the deadline, but it’s more manual.

How to Take Control of Your Listings

  • Download the proposed updates – Amazon will provide an Excel file containing the suggested changes to your product listings.
  • Review & provide your feedback – go through the proposed updates carefully and, if you agree? You don’t need to do anything – they’ll be published automatically. If you don’t? Update the Excel file with your amends and save it.
  • Upload your feedback before the deadline – this will ensure you end up with the content you want.
  • Monitor your listing status – keep an eye on your Seller Central account for any follow-up actions that might be needed.

The Bottom Line

This AI trial could be useful for some but, with no opt-in or opt-out offered, those brands chosen will need to stay proactive to keep control over their listings.

If you’re happy to let AI do its thing, you can let the changes roll in.

But if accuracy, brand messaging or compliance are key concerns for you, it’s critical to review and respond before the deadline.
